Davis Smith-Brecheisen is completing his PhD in English literature at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he studies American lit­er­a­ture, the his­tory of the novel, lit­er­ary the­ory, and eco­nomic thought. He is a member of the Graduate Employee Organization (Local 6297).
