Acquired lands

Lands owned by the federal government by way of gift, donation, condemnation, or purchase that are not considered public.

Cadastral survey

The system of creating, marking, and delineating the boundaries of different tracts of land, including details about topography and natural capital.

Denuded land

A tract of land where vegetation has been substantially or entirely removed, often by a combination of natural and human activity.
