Confronting Capitalism, a new Jacobin podcast hosted by Catalyst editor Vivek Chibber, starts from a basic premise: if you want to go beyond capitalism, first you have to understand why it is such a powerful and resilient system of social domination.

To do that, we need more than talking points and reports on the daily news cycle. Confronting Capitalism cuts through the chaos to provide a fundamental conceptual and historical framework for understanding how capitalism functions across the globe. Conversations will span political economy, history, and strategy, and Vivek Chibber’s unique ability to demystify capitalism’s key mechanisms will provide listeners with essential insights for effective socialist politics today.
