This year, a bout of avian flu has killed and forced the culling of 38 million chickens in the US, further driving up already-high prices.

Milk: 15.6%
Coffee: 20.3%

While most of the inflation where coffee is concerned has to do with shipping issues, inclement weather in Brazil — a major producer — has further embittered the situation.
