Caitlin Procter is a part-time professor of migration studies at the European University Institute and a research fellow at the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Centre on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding. Over the past five months, Israel has killed at least 30,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the vast majority women and children. It has also been deliberately destroying Gaza’s rich cultural heritage, from mosques and churches to libraries and children’s theaters.
